GUILD ACTIVITIES

GROUP MEETINGS

Members and visitors are welcome at any of our group meetings and details of current groups can be obtained by contacting the Membership Secretary. The meetings are held at different locations within a group area. The groups allow exchange of ideas and information, as well as being enjoyable social occasions.

THAMES VALLEY GROUP---PRESSED FLOWER GUILD

We are small group of keen members who meet every two months here in Oxfordshire to create items using pressed flowers and leaves etc. We press our own plant material throughout the year and use these in many ways—not just on cards.

We try to go to Guild Conferences as we meet other members there, learn new ideas and sometimes swap our pressings and our own ideas. Sometimes these conferences are nearby but we often travel quite a distance as they move around the country.

We do have room for a few more members here so please contact the Guild Secretary via the Contact page for dates and times.

We would be pleased to see you for one or two meetings but ask that you join the Guild after that time.

Any member may join the Yahoo Messenger Group. Questions may be asked and answered about any aspect of pressed flowers.

ATTENDANCE AT SHOWS

Members help on the Guild stand at garden and craft shows. They answer questions about pressed flower problems and show visitors how to use pressed flowers. The photo below shows the Guild stand at the recent Craft 4 Crafters show at the Bath & West Showground.
